SP Energy Networks own and operate the electricity transmission and distribution network in the south of Scotland and the distribution network in Cheshire, Merseyside and North Wales. As the network operator we maintain and repair the electrical equipment and network assets that transport electricity to around 3.5 million homes and business. We operate in a regulated environment where our regulator Ofgem sets targets covering a 5 year period. Our assets and transmission and distribution licenses are owned by three wholly owned subsiduaries: SP Transmission Ltd SP Distribution Ltd SP Manweb plc. These act as an integrated business unit, with the aim of outperforming our regulatory targets and implementing our investment strategy to expand the network. Our Connections Business, SP Network Connections Ltd, is also part of SP Energy Networks offering a wide range of bespoke utility services serving an impressive client list and expertly satisfying property developers and contractors.
