Ocean Rig own and operate Leiv Eiriksson and Eirik Raude, two of the world's largest and most modern drilling rigs, built for ultra deep water and extreme weather conditions. On January 3 2011 the Company took delivery of the new build drillship Ocean Rig Corcovado, and on March 30 2011 the second drillship Ocean Rig Olympia was delivered from Samsung Heavy Industries in Korea. The company has two further drillships under construction at Samsung with scheduled delivery July 29 2011 and September 30 2011. All of our vessels have been contracted worldwide, including Greenland, Brazil, Africa and the Falklands. A further 2 drillships have been ordered and are due for completion in 2013. Ocean Rig's vision is to expand its operating base while maintaining a sole focus on ultra deepwater and harsh environment drilling, becoming the drilling contractor of choice for our customers, employees and shareholders in an incident free environment.
